I think I need a pre-amp, but don’t know what to get! Trying to hook up an Onkyo CP-1500F turntable?
Trying to hook up an Onkyo CP-1500F to a Sony STR-KG700 receiver. No sound comes out, do I need a pre-amp or a different receiver?
If the reciever doesn’t have an input labelled “Phono” then you need a “Phono Pre-amp”. They start at around $40. Decent ones are a little over $100. Some cheap turntables have a built-in pre-amp, but not this one.
